Bench Joiner

Strong Recruitment Group is working on behalf of our client who are a prestigious high-end bespoke joinery currently looking to recruit 1 x Bench Joiner / Furniture Maker on a 6 month contract basis in Capel, Dorking to start working from asap.

Job Spec :

Reading and Interpreting Designs:
Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret and understand design drawings, sketches, or specifications to create accurate and customised joinery products.
Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials based on project requirements and specifications.
Cutting and Shaping:
Precision Cutting: Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut and shape wood accurately according to design specifications.
Joinery Techniques: Employ various joinery techniques, such as mortise and tenon joints, dovetails, and finger joints, to ensure strong and durable connections.
Assembly and Joining:
Component Assembly: Assemble individual components into the final product, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
Gluing and Clamping: Apply adhesives, glues, and use clamps to secure joints and components during the assembly process.
Work closely with Workshop Manager, Head Finisher, and other team members to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements

Candidate specification:

• Bench Joiner beneficial to have CSCS Card
• Must be available to start from asap
• Ideally based local to Capel, Dorking
• Bench joiner must have 5 years minimum experience
• Hourly rate on offer is around £22 – £23ph per hour you will be paid weekly
