Civils Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor

Strong Group are working with a recognised main contractor who are in search of an Experienced Civils Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial/ Pre-Construction Team, working across England.

Title: Civils Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor Salary: £70,000
40 Hours Per Week Schedule: Monday-Friday
Office Based Start Date: ASAP

Civils Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor Position:
-Estimating costs and commercial risks of projects at the bid stage
-Co-ordinate estimating from other departments and help link the scope, programme, risks and technical submission in generating a cohesive price in formats that suit both tender submission & the internal Company approval processes
-Tender submissions, and contract documents for financial and commercial presentation
-Develop the estimate at a level of detail appropriate to the size and complexity of the project
-Identify potential cost risks

The Ideal Civils Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor:
-Previous experience in estimating/ surveying on Civils contracts
-Prospective candidates may come from a commercial or Construction/Technical Engineering background
-Analytical and problem-solving skills
-Ability to communicate at all levels with all departments and disciplines
-Experienced in management of information (using databases), estimating costs and project deliverables
-Commercially aware
