Strong Recruitment Group are currently looking for a Contracts Manager, located in Ashford, on a permanent basis.

Candidate Specification:

  • To provide support to the Managing Director & Work alongside the Senior Management Team, to take personal responsibility ensuring that Projects objectives are delivered, to manage the operational team.

Main Tasks (to include but not restricted to):

  • Internal and external customer relationships are maintained in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Overseeing the management team, and project Control within the business.
  • Reports are provided accurately and on time.
  • Maintain Quality of work in accordance with SLA and KPI.
  • Liaising with clients and other interested parties to ensure that programs are completed on time.
  • Efficient and effective management of resources.
  • Ensuring that work streams are planned and executed effectively, delivering on schedule and on budget.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate project, quality, change control and risk management processes.
  • Managing the expectations of all clients.
  • Facilitating effective communications with the senior management teams, and other teams within the business.
  • Escalating issues or concerns to the Managing Director & Senior Management Team, & operational team.
  • Coordinating engineers and other team members to understand key issues and potential solutions.
  • Resource the projects appropriately
  • Plan works to be carried out in a safe and organised manner
  • Deliver works to budgets that have been set
  • Monitor to ensure works are carried out to the highest of quality.
  • Develop a good working relationship with the client, build relationship for work continuity.
  • Manage the planning of works start to finish & oversee the progress of works on site.
  • Ensure all correspondence with the client is carried out in accordance with the company procedures.
  • Assist commercial team in accordance with company procedures.

Ideal Candidate will have/ be:

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Hold a valid NRSWA full Supervisor Street works card, units 10 to 16.
  • Have extensive working knowledge and supervisory experience on the Open reach Civils/ flex & desilt network.
  • Have experience of working and building relationships with Local Authorities.
  • Experienced and proficient in use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to analyse problems and offer and implement solutions.
  • Self-motivated and flexible and have the drive to achieve the company and client’s targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised and focused on delivery
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Effective management and leadership skills
  • Clear understanding and use of risk & issue management and Escalation processes, ability to identify issues and take corrective action.

The Salary on offer ranges from £45,000 – £55,000 per annum.
