Electrical Contracts Manager – £50,000 to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package

We’re representing a successful and expanding electrical contractor based in Swindon, now seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager. This is a hands-on role overseeing projects from tender through to handover – managing engineers, pricing works, and driving commercial performance.

The Role

• Manage multiple projects from enquiry through to client handover

• Price smaller works (often with limited specifications or drawings)

• Oversee domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical projects

• Attend client meetings and carry out site surveys

• Support and manage administrators and engineers across all live projects

• Produce job-related documents such as RAMS, NICEIC certification, and O&M files

• Work closely with the estimating department for larger tendered projects

• Take ownership of labour resourcing, including hiring and managing electricians and subcontractors

• Maintain cost control, ensure quality, and deliver on monthly financial targets

• Lead performance reviews and appraisals for engineering staff

• Uphold and manage health & safety standards across all sites

What You’ll Need

• Fully qualified Electrician with strong project/contract management experience

• Sound knowledge of electrical systems and full install lifecycle

• Commercial awareness and understanding of job margins, cost tracking, and reporting

• Experience working on projects of varying scale – from smaller reactive works to complex installs

• Comfortable pricing work without full specifications and developing practical solutions

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Able to travel to sites (typically within a 1.5-hour radius)

• Willing to take a flexible approach to deadlines and workload

The Offer

• Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

• Bonus: 4% of the gross profit on jobs you manage, paid monthly in arrears

• Car Allowance: £400/month

• Holidays: 30 days (including Bank Holidays)

• Extras: Company mobile phone & laptop provided

• Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
