Electrical Estimator

Electrical Estimator – £52,500 to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Location: Swindon
Permanent | Full-Time | Office-Based

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing and well-established electrical contractor based in Swindon, looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator to support continued growth. With a strong pipeline of repeat business and a varied project portfolio, this is a great opportunity for an experienced estimator to take ownership and lead the estimating function.

Role Overview

• Manage tender enquiries from review through to submission and handover

• Assess contractual, technical, health & safety, and logistical elements of each project

• Conduct site meetings and surveys where required

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

• Complete accurate take-offs and build comprehensive tender packages

• Present tenders for internal sign-off before submission

• Support post-tender negotiations and prepare detailed handover reports

• Assist in mentoring junior estimators and administrators

• Maintain and optimise the company’s estimating systems and processes

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator

• Previous hands-on experience as an electrician is essential

• Comfortable managing a wide range of projects from £10k up to £500k

• Experienced in both pre-designed and design & build tenders

• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts

• High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and commercially astute

• Proficient with IT and estimating software

• Based within 40 minutes of Swindon
