Location: Aylesbury (Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office, with flexibility required)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum + Bonus & Expenses

The team is expanding and seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their Pre-Construction Department.

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in the success of the pre-construction phase, working closely with a collaborative team of three in the department. Your primary responsibility will be to estimate and manage the costs of electrical works within the context of commercial office fit-out projects. This role will require a blend of technical expertise, precision, and excellent communication skills to ensure projects are effectively planned and budgeted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical works within office fit-out projects.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements to determine the scope and budget.
• Quantity Surveying:
• Prepare and manage bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the design and build teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers during the tendering process.
• Pre-Construction Support:
• Contribute to the tendering process by providing accurate and timely cost breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Reporting:
• Provide regular updates and reports on budgets, forecasts, and cost variances.

  Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, ideally within commercial office fit-outs or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and commercial project requirements.
  • Familiarity with project values in the range of £100,000 to £1 million.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for estimation and project management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
