Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Location: Cheshire / NW region
Sector: Commercial New Build & Cat A/B Fit-Out Projects
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 DOE

Strong Group are currently working alongside a leading contractor specialising in commercial new build and fit-out projects across various sectors. With a strong portfolio of high-profile clients and a reputation for delivering quality and innovation, they are committed to excellence in every project. We are now looking for an experienced and driven Electrical Project Manager to join their team and oversee large-scale electrical installations.

The Role:
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing electrical installation projects, including commercial new builds and Cat A/B fit-outs. Working closely with the design, engineering, and site teams, you will ensure that all aspects of the electrical works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from initial planning and design through to handover and completion.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and manage budgets to ensure financial control.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and progress are maintained.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving to avoid delays or budget overruns.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams on-site.
  • Manage the commissioning and testing phases of projects to ensure successful handover to the client.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, ideally within commercial new build and Cat A/B fit-out environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and the associated regulatory standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and site teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition).
  • CSCS
