Freight Operations/Customer Service Manager

Location: Hayes

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

Holiday: 20 days + 8 days bank holiday

Strong Group is acting on behalf of its client who are currently looking to recruit a Customer Services/Operations Manager. This would be a permanent position based in Hayes, London.

Our client is committed to the highest levels of customer service and specialise in bespoke multi-modal freight, logistics and supply chain solutions for all types of cargo.

We seek an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations and successful execution of all sea freight imports and exports. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in ocean freight and a strong background in customs clearance.

The customer service manager would be assisting and reporting to the I.T. and Customer Service Director. Providing support and guidance to the admin assistant, management and supervisory team; ensuring clear objectives are set and that performance is regularly reviewed across the contract and specifically for your allocated area.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in Freight
  • Experience in import and export
  • Managerial experience of effectively leading a team of staff
  • Evidence of taking responsibility and willingness to take responsibility
  • Strong IT skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Full UK Driving License
