Job Title: Mechanical (Insulation) Estimator

They handle projects ranging in value from £200k to £3M across various sectors. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking to enhance their estimating capabilities by adding a skilled Insulation Estimator to their team.

Job Description: The Insulation Estimator will play a crucial role in the preparation and management of project estimates for thermal and fire-rated insulation systems. This position demands a high level of precision and expertise in cost estimation to ensure the profitability and success of every project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates that incorporate proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment for large-scale insulation projects within the stipulated project values.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, vendors, and team members to discuss and formulate accurate estimates.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of historical data to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize Ensign estimating software to create and adjust project cost forecasts.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in estimating within the insulation sector, with specific knowledge in thermal and fire-rated insulation projects.
• Proficiency in Ensign estimating software is mandatory.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and within the financial parameters of the project.

Salary and Benefits:

• A competitive salary range of £50,000 – £60,000, depending on experience.
• Attractive benefits package including an annual performance-related bonus.
• Work hours from 9am to 5pm, providing a balanced approach to work-life integration.

Team and Reporting Structure:

• The successful candidate will be part of a small, focused estimating team consisting of 2 members.
• This role reports directly to the Director, ensuring close collaboration and strategic alignment on projects.
