Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical packages for projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. Your role will include:

• Project Management:

  • Manage all aspects of mechanical works, including plumbing, pipework, and ventilation, for projects averaging £3 million in value.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee project schedules and resources to ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and client requirements.

  • Monitor project budgets and prepare regular cost reports.

• Team Coordination:

  • Lead and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

  • Coordinate with the design, estimating, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution.

• Client Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders within the healthcare sector.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to clients, ensuring clear communication of project progress.

• Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture on-site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E industry.

• Expertise in managing projects in the healthcare sector is essential.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, pipework, and ventilation.

• Demonstrated ability to manage projects valued at approximately £3 million.

• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Strong understanding of industry standards and health and safety regulations.

• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or project management (preferred).
