Water Treatment Engineer in London/South East

Strong Group are acting on behalf of a client who is a specialist hire company with a unique consultative approach. We urgently require a Water Treatment Engineer to join a growing team responsible for field installations and servicing of the Envirohub temporary water treatment range around the UK.

About the Role:

  • Field installations and servicing of water treatment equipment, including clarifiers, chemical dosing control panels, mix tanks, oil removal, and sludge handling.
  • Support other teams in installing temporary heating, ventilation, and environmental monitoring equipment as needed.
  • Installations typically take 1-2 days and may require overnight stays for long-distance travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site technical engineering installations around the UK.
  • Commission and optimize water treatment processes on-site.
  • Liaise with and instruct site agents on the use of equipment.
  • Lead a small team of engineers during larger site installations.
  • Perform equipment breakdowns as required.
  • Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness.
  • Assist with electrical and mechanical inspections of equipment prior to hire.
  • Help maintain and repair equipment in the ‘ready for hire’ process.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Must have: Experience in the water treatment industry.
  • Must have: Skill related CSCS Card
  • Must have: 3+ years of engineering experience in an electrical, mechanical, or technical role.
  • Must have: Clear DBS check is required, and you may need to undergo security clearance.
  • Must have: all applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Health & Safety certification to Level 3 desirable.
  • Clean driving license essential.
  • Good IT skills in MS 365.
