Location: Bishop’s Stortford (Projects based at Stansted Airport)
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Package
Start: ASAP

Role Summary

We are recruiting for a Construction / Project Manager to oversee multiple small works, reactive refurbishment, and fit-out projects within Stansted Airport.

This is a hands-on role managing several live projects simultaneously, typically valued between £50k – £1M, ensuring delivery from initial planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects within a live airport environment

• Oversee projects from pre-construction through to handover

• Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

• Maintain strong health & safety compliance across all works

• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and airport authorities

• Monitor progress, programme, and report on project performance

• Manage procurement and site logistics in a live operational environment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Construction / Project Manager role

• Proven experience managing small works, refurbishments, or fit-out projects

• Experience working on multiple projects concurrently

• Confident producing RAMS and managing H&S documentation

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment

• Must be able to pass a DBS check

• Experience working in live environments (airports, hospitals, etc.) beneficial

Qualifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

• CSCS Card

• Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree – desirable)
