Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 4 days per week in the London office)
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Overview

We are recruiting an Electrical Estimator to join a growing MEP contractor’s London office. This is a growth hire driven by a strong pipeline of commercial and mission-critical projects.

The role will involve producing accurate electrical estimates and supporting the pre-construction team across a range of new build, refurbishment and framework projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical take-offs and cost estimates

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation

• Price electrical building services packages including LV distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, data and specialist systems

• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations

• Prepare tender queries, clarifications and exclusions

• Support tender submissions and pricing reviews

• Assist with handover to delivery teams following project award

Project Types

• Commercial projects (Shell & Core, CAT A / CAT B, refurbishments)

• Plant replacement and decarbonisation works

• Mission-critical environments

• Typical project values: £1m – £30m MEP

Software

• Trimble

• Countfire

• Strong Excel and Word skills

Salary & Package

• £60,000 – £80,000 basic, depending on experience

• Pension, travel and benefits dependent on candidate

Requirements

• Experience as an Electrical Estimator within building services / MEP

• Commercial project background preferred

• Stable career history (no pattern of short stays)

• Able to work collaboratively within a pre-construction team

Interview Process

• 1st stage: Informal Teams interview

• 2nd stage: Face-to-face interview in the London office

• Target start: by end of February
