We are working on behalf of a well-established industrial and commercial electrical contractor who is looking to appoint an Electrical Estimator as part of a continued growth plan.
This is a long-term opportunity within a stable business, offering exposure to a varied workload across new works and ongoing small works / variations. The role will be predominantly office-based at the client’s head office in Kent, once fully up to speed.
The business operates as an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), meaning employees benefit directly from company performance and long-term success.
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing and supporting a wide range of electrical projects across industrial and commercial sectors. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, suppliers, and clients throughout the tender process.
This position is a growth hire, not a replacement.
Prepare accurate, competitive electrical estimates for new works and variations
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Manage bids from enquiry stage through to tender submission
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain compliant pricing
Produce tender clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions
Support commercial and project teams during pre- and post-tender stages
Maintain high standards of accuracy while working to deadlines
Industrial electrical projects

Experience with Extreme Estimating advantageous
Currently transitioning to Ensign Estimating
Familiarity with industry-standard estimating tools preferred
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator
Strong understanding of electrical regulations and legislation
Good working knowledge of tendering and estimating processes
Basic understanding of construction contracts
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively within a team
