Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor

Strong Group are working with a Yorkshire-based fit out company which has gone through a sustained period of growth and with a solid order book into 2024 and beyond. They’re now looking to broaden their commercial team with an additional experienced fit-out/ joinery Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

Title: Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £50K (DOE)
Location: Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP

The Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor Role:

• Lead on the full end-to-end process of all commercially related matters on projects, from initial estimating, take-offs, costings during the project including budget management
• Completing cost and value analysis
• Provide financial forecasts and manage client’s requirements

The role will suit an individual that thrives on responsibility and has a background in fit out construction/ joinery and overseeing both the Estimating and Quantity Surveying side of projects. You’ll need to be an efficient operator and have a consistent track record of effective cost management of developments with a strong eye for detail and be proven to deliver work to a high standard.

Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• Experience in joinery
• Experience with commercial fit-out projects
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator & Quantity Surveyor
• Must have technical knowledge of commercial fit-out and joinery components, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
• History and track record with settling final accounts.
• Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptable and able to identify work priorities and manage own workload, able to change with business needs.
