FM Electrician – Commercial Sector

Salary: £47,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established, family-run electrical services provider working in partnership with several leading FM companies across the South East. They maintain and deliver electrical installation, maintenance, and remedial works for a wide range of commercial properties.

With a strong reputation for high-quality workmanship, professionalism, and reliability, the company is continuing to expand and now seeks an experienced FM Electrician to join their growing team.


The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and inspection across a portfolio of commercial sites. This role suits a motivated and technically skilled Electrician who enjoys variety and working to high standards within a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and remedial works on commercial buildings.

  • Perform testing and inspection duties in accordance with current regulations and company standards.

  • Complete all relevant certification (EIC, EICR, Minor Works) using company software.

  • Use mobile and laptop-based workforce management systems.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, maintaining strong customer service standards.

  • Be flexible to work occasional out-of-hours, weekend, or away projects as required.


Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the commercial electrical sector.

  • Minimum 3 years’ testing and inspection experience.

  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing).

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations.

  • Gold ECS Card.

  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 points).

  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check.

  • Strong understanding of electrical testing, fault finding, and certification.

  • Confident using digital job management tools and mobile applications.

  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and professional.

  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

  • Committed to maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
