Health & Safety Officer

Strong Group are working with a market leader in the field of Electrical Safety Testing and Compliance who are seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join the team. The Health & Safety Officer will report directly to the CEO and the Operations Director, and work with key internal stakeholders across the business, to raise the level of health and safety performance across the business.

Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Officer will include:

  • Engaging with key stakeholders on site location to drive a positive health and safety culture.
  • Assessment of the health and safety management systems to ensure that it reflects best practice.
  • Conducting site inspections as required, working closely with the contracts and sales team.
  • Auditing and maintaining ISO management system.
  • Supporting the wider team in the development and delivery of the strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally.

The successful Health & Safety Officer will have:

  • NEBOSH certificate (diploma preferred) and membership of IOSH.
  • Proven experience in a similar health and safety role. Experience in the electrical installation sector preferred.
  • Experience influencing and engaging at all levels within a dynamic business.
  • Proven understanding of ISO management systems (Quality, Safety & Environmental) is ideal.
