HVAC Service Manager

Location: Greater Glasgow Area

Salary: £52,000 – £60,000 Package (£46,000 – £54,000 Basic + £6,000 Car Allowance)

Role Summary

Strong Group are working with a well-established HVAC and Building Services contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and develop their growing service division.

This is an excellent opportunity for a service-focused professional to take ownership of a small but expanding department, managing engineers, developing client relationships and helping drive future growth across the business.

The role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits to meet clients, support engineers and survey potential works.

Our client is a reputable Building Services contractor delivering HVAC maintenance, service and installation solutions across commercial and public-sector environments.

With a strong existing client base and ambitious plans to grow the service side of the business, they are looking to appoint a proactive and commercially minded Service Manager who can help shape the future of the department whilst maintaining the high standards their clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service department
• Coordinate reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance works
• Lead and support a small team of service engineers
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers when required
• Conduct site surveys and prepare quotations for service and remedial works
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Attend client meetings and site visits as required
• Ensure service delivery is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Monitor engineer utilisation, productivity and performance
• Identify opportunities for additional works and service growth
• Work closely with senior management to support the expansion of the service division
• Assist with improving operational processes and procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience within the HVAC, Air Conditioning or Building Services sector
• Experience managing, supervising or coordinating service engineers
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services systems
• Experience overseeing maintenance contracts and service operations
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and quote additional works
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within commercial maintenance environments
• Experience dealing with NHS, local authority or public-sector clients
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts
• Experience helping to grow or develop a service department
