Job Title: M&E Project Manager
Location: Hampshire, UK
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum, plus car allowance and bonus

Company Overview:
Our client, a leading contractor in the HVAC industry, manages comprehensive projects within commercial settings, hospitals, and for the MOD. They are currently seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to join their team based in Hampshire. This role involves managing multiple high-value projects and may require travel and occasional overnight stays.

Job Description:
The M&E Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC projects valued between £1 million and £3 million. This role is crucial in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they comply with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to define project scopes and objectives.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, selecting competent teams and monitoring their performance.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and manage project budgets.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Negotiate terms with external vendors and services providers to ensure the lowest costs and highest quality.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Travel to project sites as required and potentially stay overnight to ensure project success.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager in HVAC, ideally within commercial, hospital, or MOD environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and operations.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • Holder of a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) card.

Education:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
