Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance Bonus

About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and expanding M&E contracting business, who are seeking a highly skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Based in Redhill, the successful candidate will manage financial cost control and contract administration across various M&E projects in and around London, ranging in value from £1 to £7 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work closely with the Operations team, ensuring projects comply with scope of works, budgets, and contractual requirements.

Our client is a leading M&E contractor with over 15 years of experience, delivering services to main contractors and developers across the Residential New Build, Office, School, and Leisure sectors. They have a forecasted annual turnover of £18 million, with group turnover exceeding £800 million globally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed Monthly Applications for Payment in line with contract requirements
  • Ensure Payment Certificates are received and resolve any valuation discrepancies to maintain a positive cash flow
  • Administer and manage change processes, including preparing detailed variation quotes and ensuring instructions are contract-compliant
  • Produce and monitor Project Forecasts/Budgets and provide monthly financial reports
  • Prepare and analyse tender enquiries for Sub-Contract packages and administer Sub-Contract Orders
  • Manage Monthly Valuations of Sub-Contractor accounts and agree on final accounts
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Department to ensure materials are procured within budget
  • Submit all necessary notices under the Contract and support the Operations team with commercial advice
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with the scope of the contract and all terms

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Previous experience in an M&E contracting business
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, including suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients
  • Strong knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost control, contracts administration, and using Microsoft Excel
