Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

Location: Falkirk, Scotland

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Company Overview: Our client is a prestigious Mechanical and Electrical contractor based in Falkirk, specializing in delivering high-quality mechanical services across Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Education sectors. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join their professional team.

Role Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing mechanical project estimates ranging from £100k to £2m. This role is office-based with occasional requirements for site visits, particularly when pricing refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical estimates for a variety of sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Education.
• Utilize Procore for on-screen take-offs and Excel Spreadsheets for estimating purposes.
• Collaborate with an established team of 4 estimators to enhance bid accuracy and competitiveness.
• Conduct necessary site visits to ensure thorough and precise project estimations.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends and technologies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using Procore and Excel for estimating tasks.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
