Description
We are recruiting for a Site Installer at the Portsmouth Naval Base. This role is key in supporting our technical engineering installations, particularly focused on LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) and Water Treatment systems. The Site Installer ensures site projects are completed to the required levels of quality, on time, and within budget.

In this role, you will help deliver technical LEV installations on naval platforms and throughout the base. You will also assist with ad hoc project installations and support contract staff to ensure technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out technical surveys
• Assist in performing LEV testing and generating reports
• Conduct fault-finding activities on equipment breakdowns
• Carry out technical LEV installations
• Complete delivery and collection documentation
• Assist in writing/reviewing RAMS
• Support on-site logistics management (booking transport, crane lifting, power supplies)
• Assist in general stores and workshop activities
• Promote a positive health & safety culture across operations teams
• Maintain effective communication between all parties involved

Requirements

• Level 2 – English & Maths
• Level 2 (minimum) NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical
• Knowledge of LEV systems
• Health & Safety Certificate (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely)
• Experience working on a construction site or high-risk environment
• Full Driving Licence
