Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £75,000 (Permanent Only)

With project values currently ranging from £3 million to £25 million, they work with both main contractors and end clients to deliver full design & build packages, high-end commercial fit-outs, and large-scale installations.

Position Overview:

They are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Estimator who can hit the ground running, lead the tendering process, and work closely with project and operational teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for mechanical tenders from £3m to £25m

  • Detailed analysis of drawings, specifications, and employer requirements

  • Preparation of accurate take-offs and cost estimates

  • Supplier and subcontractor pricing analysis and negotiation

  • Value engineering and alternative solution proposals

  • Close liaison with project managers, directors, and commercial teams

  • Participation in mid and post-tender interviews and negotiations

  • Support smooth handover to operations on successful tenders


Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and design & build environments

  • Experience working on high-value commercial and/or residential projects

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tenders at once

  • Excellent commercial awareness, numeracy, and negotiation skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services


Contract Type & Benefits:

  • Permanent position only

  • Salary up to £75,000, depending on skills and experience

  • 8am-5pm working hours, Monday to Friday

  • Office-based (no hybrid working)

  • Pension (3% employer contribution after 3 months)
