Warehouse Stock Controller

Location: Hayes
Salary: £29,000 – £30,000

Role Summary

We are looking for a Warehouse Stock Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy within a fast-paced warehouse operation based in Hayes.

This role will focus on maintaining accurate inventory levels, investigating discrepancies, and supporting operational efficiency across the warehouse. You will play a key part in ensuring stock integrity, improving processes, and providing accurate reporting to both operational teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of stock accuracy across the warehouse
  • Carry out cyclical stock checks and support full stock takes
  • Investigate, report, and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Act as the key contact for stock-related issues (missing stock, errors, variances)
  • Maintain accurate stock records using ERP/WMS systems
  • Process authorised stock adjustments
  • Support stock transfers and offsite storage coordination
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve stock queries
  • Produce accurate inventory reports using Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a stock control, inventory, or warehouse role
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations (goods in, fulfilment, inventory control)
  • Experience using WMS/ERP systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator across teams and departments
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset
  • Knowledge of health & safety within a warehouse environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
