About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Fit Out Estimator to join our growing commercial team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail fit out and refurbishment projects, with contract values typically ranging between £500,000 and £5 million. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analysing tender documentation, and supporting the pre-construction process to ensure the accurate delivery of competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for fit out and refurbishment projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce comprehensive take-offs.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Liaise with the design and project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.

• Prepare tender submissions and present cost breakdowns to management and clients.

• Maintain cost databases and support continuous improvement of estimating processes.

• Assist with value engineering and feasibility studies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in the construction or fit out sector.

• Strong understanding of retail fit out and refurbishment.

• Experience in projects valued between £500k – £5m.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
