About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Construction Fit Out Estimator to join our Whitstable office. The successful candidate will bring experience in retail fit out and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £500,000 and £5 million. You will take ownership of the estimating process, from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring accuracy, value, and competitiveness throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for fit out and refurbishment projects.

• Analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.

• Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify efficiencies and mitigate risks.

• Prepare and present tender submissions and cost plans.

• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating systems.

• Support project handovers and contribute to value engineering discussions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in construction fit out or refurbishment.

• Proven experience in retail sector projects.

• Confident working with project values from £500k to £5m.

• Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and IT skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team under tight deadlines.
