Role Overview

An established commercial construction and fit out contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team in London. The business delivers high-quality interior fit out and refurbishment projects across the commercial sector, working closely with clients, designers, and supply chain partners to deliver projects from concept through to completion.

This role will suit an Estimator with strong fit out experience who is comfortable pricing projects up to £3m and playing a key role in tender submissions and cost planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial fit out and refurbishment projects up to £3m

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and schedules to produce detailed take-offs and BOQs

• Manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission

• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Value engineer designs where required to achieve cost efficiencies

• Work closely with pre-construction, design, and delivery teams to ensure accurate pricing

• Attend pre-tender meetings and assist with client presentations where required

• Maintain cost databases and benchmark pricing information

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the commercial fit out or refurbishment sector

• Experience pricing projects typically ranging from £250k to £3m

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontract packages

• Confident producing detailed take-offs and competitive tender submissions

• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness

• Proficient with estimating software and Excel

Desirable

• Experience working on CAT A / CAT B commercial fit out projects

• Background with main contractors or specialist fit out contractors

• Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence

Package

• Salary between £55,000 – £75,000 depending on experience

• Based from a London Bridge office
