Assistant to Intermediate Fit Out Estimator

Location: Putney, London
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

A commercial fit-out contractor is seeking an Assistant to Intermediate Fit Out Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The role will support the full tender process across CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects, working closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Estimator to produce accurate, competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects

• Carry out take-offs from drawings and specifications

• Issue and analyse subcontractor and supplier enquiries

• Support tender strategy, value engineering, and risk identification

• Assist with preparation of BOQs, clarifications, assumptions, programmes, and tender documentation

• Attend internal tender reviews, handover meetings, and post-tender discussions

• Liaise with internal design, commercial, and operations teams throughout the bid process

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fit-out estimating

• Background in commercial fit-out (CAT A / CAT B)

• Strong understanding of tendering and estimating processes

• Confident reading drawings and specifications

• Organised, detail-focused, and keen to progress within estimating

Package

• £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience

• Clear progression within an established estimating team

• Office-based role in Putney
