Mechanical Mates / Pipefitter’s Mates Needed in Farnborough, Hampshire

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Start Date: Week Commencing 22nd June
Duration: Until September / October (Approx. 3-4 Months)

We are seeking a Mechanical Mate / Pipefitter’s Mate for a project in Farnborough, Hampshire. The successful candidates will be assisting Pipe Fitters with the installation of steel pipework systems and associated support bracketry on a commercial/industrial project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Pipe Fitters with the installation of steel pipework systems.

• Supporting the installation of channel iron and Uni-Strut support systems/bracketry.

• Assisting with the positioning and bolting of pre-fabricated steel pipework.

• Helping with the installation of 2″ threaded steel pipework.

• Loading, unloading, and moving materials around site.

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

• Following site health and safety procedures at all times.

• Assisting with general mechanical installation duties as directed by the Pipe Fitters and Site Supervisor.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Mechanical Mate, Pipefitter’s Mate, Labourer, or similar role on commercial or industrial projects.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical pipework installations.

• Valid CSCS Card.

• Own PPE.

• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.

Rate

The hourly rate on offer is £16.80PH – paid weekly
