Role Summary

An established and growing electrical contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator to support continued expansion across residential and commercial projects.

This is a key hire within the pre-construction team, taking a lead role in preparing accurate and competitive electrical tenders.

Company Overview

The business is an electrical contractor delivering installation projects across Build-to-Rent (BTR), student accommodation, residential, and commercial sectors.

Project values typically range from £1m to £10m, with a strong and growing pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates from drawings and specifications
• Carry out take-offs and build accurate cost plans
• Price projects across residential and commercial sectors
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
• Support handover to delivery teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical contractor environment
• Strong experience across residential or commercial construction projects
• Experience working on projects between £1m – £10m
• Good technical understanding of electrical building services
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• Strong commercial awareness

What They’re Looking For

• Ideally a senior-level estimator, but open to strong mid-level candidates stepping up
• Background in electrical contracting / construction
• Not suitable for maintenance, FM, or industrial backgrounds

Working Arrangements

• Primarily office-based
• Some flexibility available depending on workload
