Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kenley, Surrey
Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Primarily Office-Based with Flexibility as Required

About the Role

Our client is a growing construction contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across London and the South East, with contract values ranging from £5,000 to £4 million.

They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, taking responsibility for the financial management of projects from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, CVRs and financial reports.
• Administer projects under JCT and NEC contract forms.
• Manage procurement, including subcontractor enquiries, negotiations and appointments.
• Prepare and submit valuations and payment applications.
• Produce and manage variation costings.
• Monitor project costs and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractor accounts through to final account settlement.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Support the successful delivery of multiple projects while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Experience working on refurbishment, fit-out and/or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Experience managing budgets, CVRs, valuations, procurement and variations.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
