Surveyor / Small Works Estimator

Location: Godstone, Surrey
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Bonus + Package

Our client is an established refurbishment contractor working across London and the South East and is looking to appoint an experienced Surveyor / Small Works Estimator to join their team.

The role will be predominantly surveying focused, attending sites, assessing works, producing scopes and putting together accurate quotations for refurbishment, maintenance and small works projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys across London and the South East
• Produce detailed scopes of works and measurements
• Price small works, refurbishment and maintenance projects
• Work with Schedule of Rates and measured works
• Prepare quotations using labour, material and subcontractor costs
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Measure and price variations and additional works
• Assist with cost control, final accounts and invoicing
• Liaise directly with clients and operational teams
• Prepare basic drawings / mark-ups using AutoCAD where required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Surveyor, QS, Estimator or Surveyor / Estimator
• Strong experience surveying refurbishment or small works projects
• Good knowledge of Schedule of Rates
• Ability to price works from site surveys and drawings
• Strong commercial awareness
• Refurbishment, maintenance or fit-out experience preferred
• AutoCAD experience advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Ideally based within approximately one hour of Godstone, Surrey
