HGV Class 1 Container Drivers – £23ph – Ongoing Weekend & Night Work

Strong Group Recruitment are looking for reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers to join a busy transport operation based in Kirkby, Liverpool.

We have a large amount of ongoing weekend work available throughout the year, along with weekday night shifts. This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for regular work or additional weekend shifts alongside their current job.

Shift Patterns & Pay

• Saturday & Sunday: 5am-6am starts – £23ph

• Monday-Friday Nights: 6pm starts – £23ph

• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift

• Shifts can last up to 12 hours

• Regular ongoing work available every week

• Flexible availability – weekend-only drivers welcome

The Role

• Class 1 container transport work

• Collections and deliveries involving Seaforth Docks and other container operations

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks

• Following all relevant transport and safety procedures

Driver Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Container experience required

• Ideally 6-12 months’ Class 1 experience, although newer drivers may be considered

• Seaforth Dock Card or willingness to purchase one (£50)

• Reliable with good timekeeping

Induction

All new drivers will need to complete a short induction before starting, usually lasting around 1.5 hours. Inductions are generally arranged Monday to Friday.
